If you understand, you are OLD!

It occurred to me last night that no kids today will have the pleasure of turning the albums backwards trying to find hidden messages in they sounds that came out of the speakers.

And that should tell you how old I am.....

I call Bullshit

"Why we should NOT include the "Citizenship" question in the 2020 census"

Fuck'em. THe data about population and such should ONLY include citizens. This data is used to distribute federal monies (among other reasons)to states. Those states with a high illegal population should NOT get more federal money because of that population. (I'm thinking Kalofronica here). Cities too get money based on their population, and the same issues apply.

At the end of the day, the Census is designed to count CITIZENS, not just folks living here.

One wonders if the NRA

Hired this Hogg fellow:

NRA sees Donations SPIKE in February.

And this is real Grassroots, not the Lefts well funded Astroturf.

Yep. Pretty much.

Truth:

Experience is a tough teacher:

She gives the exam first....

The lesson after.

And here we have corroboration:

Of the stuff I posted on the "Privacy" post 2 down from this.

You can be tracked. Easily. More easily and in more ways in some places than other, but tracked via cell phone for sure.

The phone of the Austin bomber was used to track him and determine his whereabouts in the days prior to his arrest...making him a suspect once they thought he might be.....In other words, his truck was seen at (or near) the FedEx office...which led to a license plate, which led to a name, which led to a cell phone, which led to tracking his PAST whereabouts....which led to him being more than a suspect.

Now, I'm not bombing anyone (yet, anyway) and I don't commit crimes as a rule....But read this article to see how, exactly, you can be tracked if someone wants to do so. (HT: Kenny at Knucledraggin).

If you want to hide, you gotta have a car not in your name, and a phone not in your name and neither can be traced to you....and they can NEVER be co-located with your "Legit"phone or car....and that is difficult.

Now, again, I doubt anyone reading this is trying to hide at this time.....I;m certainly not. But simply "paying cash" doesn't make you invisible, either.

Just in case you missed it

When I linked Aaron's post about where the money is coming from for the new Gun Control Push using the Parkland High School students as their spokes-mannequins, you can find the original post that he links HERE at Sultan Knish.

It makes for interesting reading. Unless, of course, you just Want To Believe and Follow. Then you won't like it.

Privacy?

So I posted earlier that I was going to stop using my CitiBank credit card due to their posted policy regarding sales of firearms, magazines, and ammunition.

In the comments, someone asked why I used a credit card at all, instead of cash?

I relied, "Convenience" and "Rewards".

The subsequent comment mentioned "privacy.".

"Paying cash makes it more difficult for the Government to track you"

Well, folks, you gave that up when you chose to carry that cell phone with you everywhere you went. You buy things at places that have video surveillance, so if anyone cares to look for you, they can find you using Facial Recognition. You have that "Magic ElfBox" that gives anyone that has the pull to find out your location, and in stores, it is even used to track you within the store. If someone cares enough, they can even listen to your conversations with other people, not just your texts and phone calls......

And if you drive a car that has any of the electronic conveniences that come in nearly all autos today like OnStar, or Internet in the car (even if you never sign up for the service) then those that might care enough can track you that way as well. And, again, listen to what you say in the car too. If you have an electronic toll tag, then you are trackable via that device. In many (most, actually) parts of the country, there are license plate readers that scan traffic all the time....In larger cities there are BLOCKS where the entire street has video surveillance...

You really can't hide. You can, of course, drive a car made before 1990, or use a bicycle, and not have a phone, and wear a mask all the time. Pay cash for everything. never go anywhere far from home.....

Anything else, you can be tracked. if, of course, someone wants to and has the resources out government has.

If they care enough to check any of the above, that is....Your daily normal purchases don't matter that much, if they powers that be choose to track you. And I don't use the cards for anything besides normal purchases ...gas, groceries, clothing, restaurants, etc. I just try to be unremarkable.....Nothing to see here, folks....

Since I can't easily hide, I don't try.... I spend my money as I see fit, never (mostly) hiding the fact. I also get the convenience of not having to carry large sums of cash on a daily basis, and of having records of my purchases with the credit cards.

This way, however, should I choose to leave my cell phone at home and pay cash and travel using a friends car, it's even harder to find me, 'cause that behavior is unusual....And someone has to REALLY be looking....

I'm not that important to think that anyone is watching my every movement, mind you. That takes a lot of time and people. But when it matters, I can make it harder....

But I refuse to hide my everyday life. Why stand out? Just be one of the crowd.

You can't really hide unless you live on a farm in Kansas or a cabin in the rockies or a hut in Maine, far from every other human....And even then, there are satellites if anyone cares to watch you. And, of course, the person posting that uses the internet, so....

Odd:

Very strange. One would think that one would remember the details very, very accurately after a traumatic experience like that......

Yet here we have this (Watch from start at 4:26 until at least 4:44):

And then this:

Strange dichotomy, isn't it?
I guess when you are lying it is hard to remember which version of reality you are talking about at that moment?

Curiouser and curiouser.....Yet the Media won't do their job, and will, instead, set forth the correct meme and tell the story to sell the particular meme they wish to....

Yeah, I know, more Reynolds Wrap.......

Clarification:

For those who say that Citibank doesn't have the right to do what they are doing regarding the sale of guns and ammunition and magazines using their banking service:

you are wrong.

They DO have the right. They can set whatever restrictions they choose to  (subject to legal restrictions) on commerce using their banking services or their credit card processing service. That is their right.
There are no requirements for them to do business with anyone that whey don't wish to. They can set whatever legal restrictions they choose to.

You and I, however, don't have to do business with them. That is our right. We can choose to use other credit card suppliers and other banks.

Keep the thought that BOTH of us, CitiBank and us, as individuals, have the rights to transact our business in whatever legal manner we choose...with whomever we choose to do so. That's the thing about our system. The good goes with the bad.

Freedom is like that.

question:

When Bubba Clinton got a Hinkleman from Monica (Blue Dress) Lewinsky, and wet his cigar right there in the Oval office, weren't we told it was his personal business and any issues were between him, Monica, and Hillary? None of our business, right?

Now, apparently, TheDonald may or may not (probably May) have had some kind of relationship with some skank named (professionally) as Stormy Daniels (AKA Stephanie Clifford)....If he did (he probably did) isn't that their business, and none of ours? I mean, it happened (if it did) before he was president, and on private property and not in a government office ......

I mean, Bubba's life choices were none of our business (according to the Media and the DNC), why are Donnie's? Isn't it between some cheap hooker porn star that can be bought off easily and Donnie and Melania? Or have the rules changed because this time it isn't a Democrat?

Why are all the women outraged now, when Melania may have been cheated on, and not when Hillary certainly was?

Oh, yeah, 'cause someone in power ordered the Media to tell all these women it matters this time......and that they should be outraged. Because Trump.

Double standards and all that. At least Donnie picked a sorta decent looking party girl and not a tubby Jewish skank (allegedly).

In case you haven't figgered it out

I am back in town and no longer on the road. It was a busy last week.

I could tell you what I was doing, but then I'd have to kill you or imprison you or otherwise keep you silent until the Statute of Limitations runs out, and we don't want that.

Suffice it to say that I was busy.

Sunday, March 25, 2018

Depends on the method used:

I have no idea how many folks were involved in the "Grassroots" Astroturf protests yesterday for some undefined "Gun Ban/"Gun Control (which is another topic).....

But, at the end of the day, if we measure the response the way the media counted the Tea Party protests a few years ago (which were truly "Grassroots"), it appears that there were....143.2 protestors. If we measure it the way they counted the "Million Man March" then there were 20, 457, 874.3 attendees. You decide. I'm not sure which method to use.

Was the media coverage planned/did the networks collude?? You betcha. Were the camera views narrow? Yes. Do I believe the numbers the media put forth? No.

Was this theater for the Liberals? YEP. Do I think it swayed anyone not already Anti-Gun? Nope. But it sure stirred up that segment of the people.

Yeah, he's a High School kid:

Not a Crisis Actor.

If you haven't seen the video of David Hogg being interviewed (before YouTube pulled it) you can find it on Vimeo HERE

Still think he's just a high school kid? Someone has put a lot of time into grooming this kid to deliver a message.

Video found via Kenny at Knuckledraggin.

I bet he's paid for by the funds referenced a post or two below this one.....'Cause he's about as legit as the thought that the kids funded this protest all on their own.

Differing point of view

So I am at the Tempe Arizona art festival...waiting for some folks....

Now, the festival is in the pattern for departing aircraft from Sky Harbor airport. Lots of passenger jets climbing out...once every 3 minutes or so.

No one notices, until a pair of C-17's in formation fly over at about 4000 feet.

Then, because the noise level of the pair of jets was a bit higher, a dude said something about "military jets should be banned".

I said "That's the sound of freedom, dude, you should welcome it".

Lots agreement from the others around us.

He whined and walked away.

There's more folks out there that think like us than we think, they are just silent until someone else speaks up.  Even the artsy fartsy folks.

So where

Did all these kids get the money to pay for all those trips?

I mean, it isn't like air travel is terribly expensive these days, but it ain't an insignificant cost, either. Especially if you are a high school kid.

Yet these kids all fanned out across the country, in some cases speaking at several venues throughout the day.....

Sure as hell didn't get that kind of scratch babysitting and mowing lawns.

Can the rest of the country not see that this is theater?
Theater staged just for a goal?
I guess it plays well to the liberal leaning folks.

I am reminded of the "Two Minute Hate" from a novel I read about 20 years a go my some guy named Orwell....only this "Two Minutes" was covered (and presented) by CNN and the other media.

************************************************************************

ETA: According to Aaron, THIS IS WHERE THE MONEY COMES FROM for the "Liberal Heartstrings Theater" production yesterday....

Odd that we cannot get the source of the funds, innit? Betcha CNN won't bother to tell us, either.

Well, Duh.....

And these folks are surprised?

SJW shit nearly always backfires.

Dicks Sporting Goods sees "Greater than expected" sales drop after banning AR-15 type rifles (again).

And now I gotta get a different Credit Card

Seems that Citibank has jumped onto the Social Justice Warrior/Virtue Signalling bandwagon.

They are restricting some customers who sell firearms and (ghasppp!) High Capacity Magazines! (OMG!)...anyone using them as a bank can't sell firearms to anyone under 21, even where 18 is legal...and other restrictions.

Fuck em. I can use a different credit card company....and I will. I spent a bot over 10 Large via credit cards last year. Mostly via my CitiCards card. There are, however, other card companies that want my business.....and they, at least, aren't SJWing against a hobby that is near and dear to me.

They will not gain another nickle from my business. I move a not inconsiderable retirement and investment fund from JPMorganChase last year over SJWing practices, and I can choose who makes money off of my credit card purchases. I figure it'll cost Citibank about $400 in fees from my purchases alone.

If you have a Citibank credit card, I urge you to find another card with which to make purchases. Write 'em a letter and tell ;em why you went to another card company.

Fuck'em

Bummer, Bozo is dead

One of the actors who played Bozo the Clown is dead.

And he's the one I watched when I was a kid.

I guess I am gettin' old.

Wednesday, March 21, 2018

Sad, but true.....For some folks.

A man walks into a drug store with his 8-year old son. They happen to walk by the condom display, and the boy asks, “What are these, Dad?”

To which the man matter-of-factly replies, “Those are called condoms, son. Men use them to have safe sex.”

“Oh, I see,” replied the boy pensively. “I’ve heard of that in health class at school.” He looks over the display and picks up a package of 3 and asks, “Why are there 3 in this package?”

The dad replies, “Those are for high school boys, one for Friday, one for Saturday, and one for Sunday.”

“Cool” says the boy. He notices a 6 pack and asks, “Then, who are these for?”

“Those are for college men,” the dad answers. “TWO for Friday, TWO for Saturday, and TWO for Sunday.”

“WOW!” exclaimed the boy, “Then, who uses THESE?” he asks, picking up a 12-pack.

With a sigh and a tear in his eye, the dad replied, “Those are for married men. One for January, one for February, one for March……. ”

At least they are going through the motions

Even if, in the end, they won't prosecute her...

(of course, if it were anyone else, we'd be jailed or fined or both).

ATF IS investigating Karen Mallard.

Remember, ATF: There is no part of the law that covers "intent". She isn't Hillary Clinton. She either did it, or she didn't. And we have proof on YouTube. Do your job.

How to get your High School to pay for your college:

Go to a gun range, post about it.

Get suspended for violating the 'No Weapons' policy.

Exactly how this violates the policy of the school when the range isn't on school property and the trip was not made during school hours remains unclear.

Unless one has committed "BadThink" and the school is punishing them for it....?

I'm figuring a lawsuit is in order here...

Doesn't take much to make Leftist school administrators heads explode, does it?

Always these weird connections:

(Unverified as f publishing, so be aware)

Stormy Daniels’ Lawyer Was on Payroll of Joe Biden, Rahm Emanuel; Previously Sued Trump & ‘The Apprentice’ Reality Show

If true, it isn't surprising.
So it could be "Fake but Accurate" news as well.

Oddly, no connection to the Clintons:

"Nuttin' to see here....Move along. "

Adrian Lamo, hacker who turned in Chelsea Manning to FBI, found dead.

Funny how these things happen, innit? Folks who let secrets out dies in strange circumstances and such.

AFAIK there was no comment from either of the Clintons.

Odd, that

Chicago's Southside Irish St Patty's Day Parade kicks off today at noon.

Which is odd, because there are very few Irish folks (or folks of Irish descent) living on the South Side anymore.

But, I guess everyone is a little bit Irish on this day.

And, strangely as well, Chicago is the Best Place to Celebrate St. Patricks Day.
You'd think it would be Boston.

Maybe it is 'cause they dye the river green?

Preezin rane & Phog.

I'm thinkin' since I have nowhere that I really need to be this mornin', I'm gonna stay home for a while....at least until the roads aren't slick and shiny.

Cheap:

I think he should be in jail for his actions....

Having said that, however:
Trump Shoulda fired him a year ago, or just let him retire.

McCabe fired ONE DAY before retirement would have been possible.

One day before his pension would have been in effect?
Really, a cheap shot. Mean. Petty.

One has to wonder why Califronia is part of this nation anymore

California appoints illegal immigrant to office

So now the legislature in California thinks it is OK to put not only a non citizen into office, but a lawbreaking one as well?

Calexit can't happen soon enough for me.

I found my way home

From there, and back!

I won't say that I was as relaxed while flying "Cross Country" as I am while driving (pretty close though), but it was a decent experience. I wasn't tense, my planning was good, (winds aloft were a bit stronger than forecast, but I adjusted my navigation there and back accordingly) and the waypoints were where I expected them to be, when they should have been.
I could have cheated and used the GPS, but I didn't.

Plus, I had no issues with the radio frequencies and had 'em dialed in before I needed 'em.

In short, my flight planning was good, and it made my flight a good one.

So different than my first cross country (with an instructor). This time it was like driving to Chicago, only with radio calls en-route.

Really, a relaxed flight.

Plus good landings all the way around.

AlGore was seen crying:

Cross country...

SOLO.

Pretty much gonna be time for the written soon.

If I find my way back home, that is.

Whose fault?

I mean, I can understand the Flight Attendant needing to have the dog (and the carrier) in a place that was safe for the other occupants of the airplane.

But putting all the blame on the Flight Attendant is, in my opinion, just plain wrong.

The dog was with the owner, and the owner had a responsibility for the dogs safety.

Dog dies after being put in overhead bin for duration of flight.

If the Flight Attendant insisted, she (the owner) should have gotten off the flight. Simply refuse to put the dog there. Get off the plane and find other transportation.

What if the Attendant had insisted that her infant be placed in the overhead bin? Same-Same, as far as I am concerned.

Simply refuse to do so. Yes, it is inconvenient to take that path, but, at the end of it all, it is the pet owner who made the choice to continue the flight with the dog in the overhead. It was her responsibility to ensure the safety of the dog, and her responsibility for what happened. She failed in that responsibility. Yes, the airline shares some of that responsibility, but the owner allowed it to happen.

At some point, one has to simply say "NO".

Remember who is behind

all of these "Student walkouts"?

The ones pushing for "sensible Gun Control"?

The "grassroots" protest that is happening simultaneously all across the country exactly one month after the Parkland shooting?

Yeah, one of the principle financiers is a billionaire you never heard of....

This guy....

Hillary Clinton supporter and impeachment obsessed billionaire Tom Steyer.

Shameful, using kids to push an agenda:

Oh, wait, the Democrats have done this for years....

Pi day

Today.

Act accordingly.

Stephen Hawking

Has died.

Probably the greatest scientist of our time.
And one of the toughest people around, having accomplished so much with such an illness.

Absolutely:

Walls:

Walls work, if the entity building them want the walls to work:

Funny, and all our politicians keep telling me that a "combination of drones, passive sensors and more Border Patrol agents" will work better. But we don't have enough of those, and no funding for them either.  But somehow we still get MILLIONS of illegals across out southern border every year.

Of course, I am a racist in that I don't want brown people to come in illegally and take the prosperity we have, and don't want the poverty that they bring from the shithole country they left.

Monday, March 12, 2018

Our border security is in the best hands....

Scary, if true

"Fix NICS" to be combined with National Carry reciprocity?

Firstly, I think National Carry Reciprocity is a shell game. They'll use it against us. I am a big believer in States Rights, and don't buy the arguments for National Reciprocity. If the people of the state of Illinois want to elect folks that pass laws to prevent me from carrying with my Indiana CCL, then that is their right.

Second, one can expect politicians of ANY stripe to use the carrot to keep your attention to hide the stick...the work hides the hook, as it were. There aren't many politicians who are true advocates for the Second Amendment, and they will do whatever they can to take your rights away....and they'll sweeten the medicine with national CCL reciprocity. "Fixing" NICS will likely cause many of your fellow citizens to get their rights removed under the color of law. Simply getting proper reporting will solve most of the issues we have seen in our recent past.

I urge you contact your senators and congressmen to have them NOT combine these two bills, and have them voted on separately. One does NOT have to follow the other, and

Kinda like "Abbys's brain"?

Seems that when Albert Einstein died, his brain was stolen and the Doctor who did it kept it, but mailed pieces off to friends and others who wanted some.

Kinda creepy.

I suspect he's never met a "Terrorist"

And further, he'd likely piss his pants and run, screaming like a frightened 4 year old girl, if he ever did.

Connecticut Gov. Dannel Malloy (D) this week accused the National Rifle Association (NRA) of acting like a “terrorist organization.”

If he really thought we were all terrorists, I think he'd be a lot more circumspect. Some of us actually are as dangerous as he implies we are we are....

I laughed

(Link fixt)

But I am seriously gonna have to try THIS next time some chick thinks it is OK to put her spawn into my arms without asking first...

Good call:

Visa states:

“We do not believe Visa should be in the position of setting restrictions on the sale of lawful goods and services.”

And that is how every company that wants my business should respond.

Friday, March 9, 2018

So far, unconfirmed:

And yet, all the pieces are there:

Seems that the City of Baltimore can afford to spend a Hundred Thousand Dollars (yep, $100,000.00) to send kids to a leftist protest at Washington DC regarding firearms......(Forget that the State is paying for a Leftist protest, which should be the subject of a question all on it's own)....But they apparently COULD come up with the money to bus kids to the protest, but claimed earlier this year that they couldn't pay to fix the heat in their schools.

Odd set of priorities there, if you ask me.

How Trump should negotiate

with the midget The Dear Leader from the North part of the Koreas

AV8N

Be back later.

Waiting with bated breath:

Ok, not really.

But I am waiting to see what sort of penalty the ATF(e) brings down on this woman for illegally creating an SBR.  Having both the lower and the short barrel in your possession can be used as cause for prosecution, even if they aren't assembled....

'Cause if she gets away with it, then I might have to inadvertently make that mistake too. And keep it (both pieces) as a reminder of what not to do in the future......

She, of course, claims she knew what she was doing (demonstration of "Intent"?) and then, afterwards, took it to the police department...(Colluding with others to hide a crime?) and it has now been reported to the ATF.

If she isn't prosecuted, the I think the rest of us should be able to do the same....and since they let her get away with it, we all could too (equal before the law)....

(I need to add that I really have no need for an SBR, as I'm not a door kicker and prefer my rifle cartridges have actual, you know, velocity and such)

Lemme see if I got this straight:?

Trump wants to enforce a Non Disclosure Agreement against someone with whom he has had no contact, that does not in any way affect him, because.....Why? If he's not involved then what does it matter? And if he IS involved.....

And she wants the courts to nullify it because she wants to talk, and even though she signed it and agreed to the terms of the Non Disclosure agreement, she thinks that because public comments feel she should be able to violate it without penalties, it should be null and void?

I'm getting confused here....

Gotta love California protestors:

They were protesting Sessions visit to the state

Sign held up:

"We don't have an immigration problem, we have a capitalism problem".

Just what, exactly, do you think made the prosperity that makes immigrants, legal or not, come to this country?

Yeah, it's capitalism, and the bounty and prosperity it brings to the citizens. Pretty much, here is America, anyone who is willing to work can live better than almost anyone anywhere else in the world. Some will do better than others, but at the end of it all, you can be what most folks in the world would consider "wealthy" with a bit of hard work. Of course, being as we live in a wealthy country, we consider that "Middle Class".

Yeah, we have a Capitalism Problem.

Wednesday, March 7, 2018

I laughed

You will too.

HERE

If you don't, then you need help.

Ain't it interesting?

When there is a winter storm in the midwest, or a storm in the south, the media can barely be bothered to cover it at all.

But when there is a winter storm in the east coast, they cover it with many people and for half the newscast?

OMFG!!! 400 thousand without power!!! Might not get it back for 12 hours!!

A foot of schnow! We can't get to the store!

Armageddon (ish)....!

Yet, when worse conditions happen in Oklahoma, or Kansas, or Minnesota, or other parts of the Midwest, they have other things to talk about.

Odd, that.

Almost went flying at 9

But the winds, 300ish at 10 or so all morning, then became 310/320 at 10...GUSTING 28, then gusting 32....all in the space of 15 minutes....they weren't forecast to be that bad, either. Plus the ceiling dropped to about pattern height.

Just a bit outside my level of skill at this point. So I preflighted an airplane for nothing.

The instructor and his student who arrived back at the hangar just as I was leaving (I helped 'em push the C150 back into the hangar) were a bit wild eyed (even the instructor) at their last landing. Apparently they did 3 go arounds then flew the pattern for 15 minutes or so hoping for better winds.

I think I made a good call not to fly.... the gusts continued until after noon.

(Runways are 9/27, 18/36)

Think you can take 'em away?

My UPS guy says they are delivering ammo to LOTS of houses lately. Folks that bought once a year are getting deliveries once a week now.

All that ammo isn't gonna just sit there, if and when. Bet on it. And I doubt that folks that shot 500 rds a year are suddenly shooting so much more that they need thousands of rounds.

(And it is something to think about though: Your delivery folks; FedEx, UPS and even USPS....They KNOW when they are delivering ammo. If you have good ones, like my UPS guy, he doesn't care (doesn't mean he doesn't notice though). But if they wanted to tell someone that MIGHT care.........)

I'm surprised all you Texans failed to remember:

Today was the day, 182 years ago, that the folks at the Alamo made their last stand,

Their actions gave Sam Houston's army time to prepare at San Jacinto.

I've been to the Alamo....long ago, when I was but a child. It is tiny, and crude, and yet, it gave the men a spot to rally. They may have lost their lives, but they won much more than that. I found it a solemn place, and will always remember it with reverence.

If you live in Texas, and love it, remember this day. Men gave their lives for the birthing Republic.

Had they not stood, you might be speaking Spanish and living under a different flag today.

Rule of thumb:

I've heard this from folks who should know, as they are the ones that respond....But they have the knowledge and equipment to stay safe. They call first responding cops "Blue Canaries"....

Good Advice:

Monday, March 5, 2018

For those who may not have seen it:

'Tis folks like the one quoted here that are a great deal of the reason that we, as free citizens, NEED to be able to own firearms.

Because it is folks like this, and the politicians who listen to them and/or think like them, that we need to protect ourselves AND our Country from.

They won't enforce laws on Drugs, as she says, (and especially not on Illegal Immigration) but sure as hell, there are folks who think it is OK to turn you into a serf for the fact that you wish to be free. Who would, with the stroke of a pen, turn you into a criminal simply for exercising your Constitutional right. Who would villify you and imprison you because they blame the object, rather than the wielder....And who would ignore the failures of society and the minions servants of society  to protect itself and it's members even using existing laws. Who would remove your freedoms and the freedoms of all because some individual cannot abide by the laws the rest of us respect.

By her logic, we should remove all alcohol because some folks abuse it, remove all automobiles because some are not responsible enough to use them properly...And, especially, because we disagree with her views.

I think she would be better served in going to Australia or western Europe, where the State (composed of people like her) tells the rest of the serfs how to live. ... And the Serfs, having no other choice,, are compliant after many years of social engineering.

The New Bad Thing

First it was blacks, then it was kikes and then it was the polaks and then it was the spics and now.....

How quickly they change the object of their Ire....

I remember when the AK-47 was the terrible "Assault Rifle" thing that needed to be banned. It was the one that had the "thing that goes up" and all the bad features that defined an "Assault Weapon"(whatever that was). You could shoot tens of thousands of people with one magazine, and IIRC, it even MADE people into killers, just by holding it.

Now, it would seem, AR- series of rifles is the new "Bad " rifle, and AK is ok, at least for now. At least the press isn't focusing on it....Yet.

"All of the officers involved are still employed by the department."

SO the folks in New York get to shell out a million bucks to cover the ass of the NYPD and their officers who falsely charges a guy when THEY caused a wreck.

Odd, that. I thought the Blue Line, while thin, had SOME limits as to how far they would go to cover up misdeeds..... Yet these cops are still working, and not dismissed for cause, nor hounded out of the force by their other officers.

Remember, COPS WANT RESPECT. Yet they allow guys like these to sully the uniform they all wear, and tarnish that badge....

Make no mistake, there are a LOT of good, honest officers out there who make a difference every day in their communities.
The problem is they don't clean their house, and they suffer from failing to do so.

Turning left

Spent 1.3 hours turning left Saturday morning.

Temps in the low 50's wind 075 at 8.

10 landings.

Practiced short field landings and soft field takeoffs. Got the takeoffs down, the short field landings I will work on again real soon.

At one point there were 9 aircraft in the pattern all practicing landings. Got kinda crowded there.

Twas a good way to start the day.

Perhaps the DOJ

actually DOES, one in a while have some Justice to dispense.

Seems that they are looking at pardoning Kristian Saucier after denying him one earlier.

The Department of Justice is taking a new look at a former U.S. Navy sailor’s request for a pardon following his release from jail for taking photos of classified areas inside a nuclear submarine, his attorney said.
The letter, from the DOJ Office of the Pardon Attorney, comes less than a year after the former sailor, Kristian Saucier, received a letter rejecting his pardon request on the grounds that it did not meet several criteria, including waiting five years.

I mean, really, it isn't like he didn't do it, but at the end of the day, a candidate for the office of the President of the United States was NOT prosecuted for even more egregious mishandling of "Confidential" or higher classified material and information....primarily because she was a Democrat...

(I really think both are guilty, and both should do the punishment, but if not for one, then not for all, or vice versa). No Selective Prosecution.

After 202 yearz

Indiana will allow package liquor sales on Sunday.

yep, since 1816, there have been restrictions on alcohol sales on Sunday.  Mostly meaning "None".

This, of course, didn't stop people drinking on Sunday, we just had to plan ahead. Some folks couldn't, and got caught out though.

At he end of the day, the Liquor Lobby won out over the Church lobby.

Although they can't sell until after noon. The church thinks it will restrict competition for their services or something...

Asstro-Turf.

Seems that the truth is COMING TO LIGHT regarding the "Spontaneous" protests by students re: Gun Control

As always, follow the money.

Part of me still thinks that this Hogg kid is a Crisis Actor though. He's just too articulate and too composed for an 18 year old.

Perzactly

Read:

He's right.

Plans to discriminate....

Based on GENDER,,,,are, apparently, OK, as long as the recipients are the RIGHT gender.

"I believe we have now reached a crossroads where it is imperative that a woman-led board acquire control of the company and create content that continues to inspire audiences around the world, especially our young girls and boys," Contreras-Sweet said in the letter.

So it is OK to state that the "New" company will have a woman led board of directors, the majority of which MUST be women.

Isn't that discrimination by gender? If discrimination is bad, then it is bad. Reverse discrimination is still discrimination. And announcing that one plans to discriminate would seem to me to be a conspiracy to do so....

How about folks who are neither "standard" or "Biological" gender???? Will there be an appropriate number of trans individuals on the board??

Electrical piping

Seems that in Brisbane, they have, accidentally, found the old "Edison Tubes" that were the underground electrical conductor of the day.

Apparently these sections are somewhat rare today.

20 feet per section. Must have taken forever to do an actual wire run of any distance.

Bet that hurt.....

I mean, when the Georgia Legislature shoved it up Delta's ass and gave it a full turn...While wearing rings.

Georgia Legislature removes sales tax break for Delta Air Lines....supposedly over their SJW posturing regarding the NRA.

Delta is the largest carrier at Hartsfield Airport in Atlanta. This is a pretty big slap in the face for the airline.

Toldjasoo

Seems that ALL SORTS OF LIBERAL GROUPS have been lining up to use the school kids from Parkland and other schools as props in their argument/Meat puppets/ examples of something...

I toldya that the kids were being used by someone....and that someone was paying the bills to move 'em around and feed 'em. .

Note the list of the groups: Planned Parenthood? Really? (Irony Alert here.....) This is why I think they should get ZERO funding from the federal government. Unions? Really?

Any parent who allows his or her child to be used like this as a prop by Leftist groups (or, in other instances, a Right group) is a fool, and an idiot.

It occurs to me....

That all these folks that want a ban on firearms and more "Gun Control" and other restrictions on our Second Amendment rights should consider this:

If you fear for your children's safety, and want restrictions on "guns" for that reason, then y'all should also want restrictions on Pakistanis, Somalis, Iraqis, Iranians and Palestinians (and other folks from predominantly muslim areas)....especially men between 16 and 30 of Muslim descent.

After all, your chances of having one of them detonate a bomb or shoot up some public area or otherwise perpetrate an act of terror in a mall or other public place are higher than a white male shooting them in a school......(do the math, both chances are nearly infinitesimally small)

Why aren't you asking for the banning of Muslims as well as "Assault Weapons"?

"It's for the Children"...."If it saves even one life"...

(Note for the stupid: The above was satire, perhaps in bad taste, but satire nonetheless. The statistics are correct, sadly. The odds of either happening are not that different ,however. And no, I don't want to ban Muslims...Nor have background checks before purchasing one...I do think that we shoud have limits on how many can be in one home though. ...Just pointing out some facts and trying to show some stupidity in the hysteria ) If this offends you then grow up and get a life....Or grow a set.
