Interesting comments on Cap and Trade...

I betcha that the "elite" will not reduce their lifestyle to accommodate a reduced carbon footprint....A la AlGore's huge energy gobbling mansion and houseboat...and private jets to all those lectures he gives....

But the rest of us......?

I bet that there is a population reduction thought in there somewhere too....

If the cap and trade reduction thing is gonna work, it's gotta be global (not that I think it's needed, but that's another discussion for another time...) The US's per capita and per acre emissions are lower that India and China....No matter what we do, they dwarf our emissions.

So what exactly is he trying to accomplish? Just more tax revenue???

Look: this might be something.....it might not. Either you are prepared for this, or you aren't. You cannot really prep in a week, and to be honest, if you aren't prepped, then you don't have the correct mindset yet, and you cannot get that overnight, nor can you prep overnight....

So either you are prepped, in which case you have no reason to worry, or you aren't prepped, in which case you can't do much to fix it quickly, so why worry....

Why a 9-11 type event WILL happen again.

Stuff like THIS is why a 9-11 type event will happen again. Because we have a white house staffed by vapid, live in the "now" thinking people, we can be assured that there will be another event. It appears that the Obama white house is still in 9-10 mode, not 9-11 mode. If the events of 9-11 are that far removed 8 years later, what makes any of us think that they can remember that there are terrorists out there that hate the US, or even countries that hate the US?

I mean, really.... to fly a plane at low altitude over the New York metro area for a photo op? Never thinking that it might remind people of 9-11-01? If they can't think that far, or have forgotten 9-11, then really, can they think of past attacks and still remember why the country needs to be alert for people like those that attacked us in the past? Perhaps they can;t think of anyone that wishes harm to the US, because for the past several years there has been no attacks on the US, so there must be no threat.....

Assholes...... I bet the people of New York are glad that they voted for Mr. Obama right now.....

Jennifer has some thoughts about all the hububaloo about the fact that the FBI was taking pictures of the Tea Party events.

Like her, I really don't give a shit if they have my face at the Tea Parties or anywhere else. I exercised my 1st amendment rights, broke no law, and I do not gear the government. If they choose to disappear me Take Me Away, kicking and screaming and biting, etc, they might find it hard and somewhat unhealthy (lead poisoning and all that)...They can, if they wish, do so. But will they bother?

But I really don't worry about it. If they think I am dangerous enough to be put on a list for watching, then a: I have won, they fear me.... and b: The watchers will get awfully bored.

But that remains to be seen. I actually think that this is a scare tactic to discourage people form attending the NEXT Tea Party. But I doubt that many will be scared (or care) enough to refrain from attending.

But Pres. Obama doesn't want to admit it . He'd rather only give you the nice safe sanitized politically correct version. He'd rather not admit that with some people, reason doesn't work. Without the "advanced interrogation techniques" there would have been at least one, and more than likely several additional attacks on the US and it's citizens.

But to admit that would show all of his attacks on GWB and the rest of his administration to be hollow and under false pretenses..

But the truth comes out eventually.

April 19

Today is Patriots Day. "When Colonel Smith moved into the countryside to collect these arms and munitions gathered by the patriot militia, hostilities erupted at Lexington and Concord on April 19, 1775. Soon afterward, militia contingents from places throughout New England took up positions outside Boston, putting the city under siege".

Also the end of the "midnight ride of Paul Revere". He and others helped the revolution by delivering timely warnings to the "rebels" in order that the English could not confiscate the armory and weapons at Lexington and Concord, thereby making sure that the local citizens had at least as much firepower as the English army. By doing so, they made sure that the good citizens remained citizens instead of subjects. Paul was arrested by the British and detained, and his horse confiscated.

Having the powder and shot, as well as additional weapons, made sure that the English could not enslave the colonists, and led to the revolutionary war, and eventually the country that we call the USA. We can debate many things, but we all must accept that this is indeed a Very Special Day. In my (not so terribly) humble opinion, today should rank as highly as July 4th. Today was the beginning of the new country as much as July 4th. Moreso, perhaps. For had those brave and courageous souls not rebelled, and rather taken the easy and safe path, the country might not exist, and we might never have gotten the wonderful constitution that makes this country so great. Today is the day we should celebrate! Today was the beginning of our country's greatness. Today, in 1775, was the acts of rebellion and bravery that started our country.

Of course, today also marks a day of murder of our citizens by the government, and a day where the rest of us stood by and watched. Today is the day that the BATF killed 76 men, women, and children because of their religious beliefs. Today is the day where the rest of the country let that happen with no consequences. Today should be a day of shame where those of us who were alive at that time and able to shoulder arms failed those folks at Waco, TX. We failed them because we allowed their murderers to remain free, and never demanded an accounting for their actions.
We should remember this day with shame because of that. Today is a day we should hang our heads in shame, for we did not demonstrate in modern times the spirit and fortitude of our country's founders.

Today is both a day of wonder and pride, and a day of shame. Today should be remembered and held sacred moreso than any other national secular holiday.

Let us remember it for all of those, and decide that the first shall happen again if needed, and the second shall never again happen, on this or any other date no matter what the cost. For if we allow such actions again, we allow the slow death of our country and our national pride, and begin down the path to darkness.

The EPA now says that CO2 (yeah, the stuff that people, dogs, horses, and cows exhale) is now a pollutant. As absurd as this appears on the surface, when you look deeper, it then appears to be more sinister....

CO2 as a pollutant opens the door to cap and trade, with the attendant tax and rise in costs for EVERYTHING. Food, transportation, heat, manufactured goods, etc.. Everything costs more under cap and trade.

Eventually, they'll tax you for having a kid, as he/she will exhale a LOT of CO2 during his/her lifetime. (or they'll tax everyone yearly based on weight or body mass, or something like that...Men will most likely be taxed more than women, as we exhale more CO2 per pound of mass than women).

While Europe is giving up on such ideas, Mr.Obama and the tree huggers EPA folks are going blindly ahead with their flawed plan.

The left must fear the Tea Party movement

This article claims that the Tea Parties were a dud. Maybe so. It was a dud if you discount the fact that the MSM barely acknowledged the fact that they were held, and that in excess of 300,000 people cared enough to take the day off from work, losing a day's pay or burning a vacation or personal day in order to attend.

We are also racist. Somehow, the fact that we are against higher taxes and government waste and tax and spend policies makes us racist. I was at the Chicago Tea Party, and while the crowd was predominantly white, there were a significant number of black, asian, and hispanic people, both men and women, attending. No one seemed to care what color the attendees were, merely that they were there.

It seems that the left will do anything to damage this movement. Anything to discredit or denigrate it.

Sadly, they will only convince those that are already lost to the left side. Only those who already believe in the power of the left...The Statists. Their arguements will not sway anyone who is even remotely able to think objectively.

I smell fear.

Fear is good.

SO, in the eyes of the State Dept, Texas is a foreign country....

This is a Google cache of the official State Dept website page. Either these Washington, DC people really believe that anywhere between L.A. and the east coast is a different country, (i.e. flyover country) or they are woefully undereducated (and that makes me wonder what intelligence and education qualifications are needed to be at the State Dept...).

Make no mistake, I wonder sometimes about those Texans...They do seem to be a bit different than ordianry "Red State" Americans, but I do still consider the State of Texas as a part of this great union. (at lest for now).

Or, whoever did the web page might have seen it as a joke.

No matter how you spin it, however, "We are not amused".

So one thing that I noticed

While I don't go to that awfully many political type rallies, I did notice one thing today. While there were few left leaning people at these rallies, the few that were there, even though some of them tried (like CNN) to stir up trouble, there was little trouble to be found. Few people would rise to the bait, preferring to ignore the folks who were stirring shit. The leftists were tolerated, but not shouted down or treated with violence. (although it was obvious that some were looking for just that). Amused tolerance was the order of the day, and it must have been really frustrating to the leftists that the rest of us mostly ignored them.

The contrast with the leftist rallies was astounding. The intelligence and maturity of todays protesters was far and away beyond what the left has shown in their rallies.

We went to the Valparaiso Tea Party. About 600 people there. Better signage. This crowd had a bit more bitter edge to it. These people are even less happy with the government than the Chicago crowd. The message from the speakers was more against the state government than the feds.

We went to meet everyone at Daley Plaza, then marched to Federal Plaza. The crowd was about 5-6K people tops. People were fairly well behaved. I got interviewed by the guys from Foundingbloggers.com, I might get a part of my 15 minutes of fame...

I loved this one.







All in all, it was fun, and we packed the square. The police said that this was the best behaved crowd they had had in a long time.

The organizers really needed to get a better sound system though.

The amazing thing was that so many people showed up at all. The fact is that nearly all of the people there actually had jobs and therefore had to take the day off of work to be able to attend.

So anyone who disagrees with the current administration COULD be a radical right wing extremist..... I am not a part of any hate group, nor do I believe in vioent confrontation with the government (if it can be helped). But the description(s) sould be interpereted in such a way that I am one of those individuals. WHile I am not a part of any christian extremist group, I do oppose the current government on illegal immigration and taxes. My only issue with RoeVWade is that it should have remained a states rights issue, not a federal government issue.

I wonder what will happen next time I am pulled over (if I suddenly quit blogging for more than couple of days with no explanation, you'll know....) by a state trooper who has read this report.

I do NOT agree with hate groups like the KKK, but I do believe in free speech, and I do believe that the slope of restricting same can be very very steep and slippery....It seems that the government wishes to punish free speech......Yet the self same persons are all over the first amendment when it is their turn to protest something. I am seeing a double standard here.

I like how all returning vets can also be made out to be dangerous and possible enemies of the state. Radical PTSD suffering baby killers that they are believed to be by the left and all that.

and here I thought that "dissent is the highest form of patriotoism"..... Apparently only when the dissent is by the left against the right.

Sharia Law next?

The occasion was a symposium at the Moritz College of Law at Ohio State University honoring her 15 years on the court.

"I frankly don’t understand all the brouhaha lately from Congress and even from some of my colleagues about referring to foreign law,” Justice Ginsburg said in her comments on Friday.

The court’s more conservative members — Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. and Justices Samuel A. Alito Jr., Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas — oppose the citation of foreign law in constitutional cases."

So let's trash the laws of the US, up to and including the constitution, to make our justices and their decisions cited more often and make the courts of other countries respect the US and its judges.

Sorry, I don't buy it. It's the laws of the US for the US. If we are supposed to respect the laws and culture of other countries, then let them respect our laws and culture. We happen to be the country that many people emigrate to because of our constitution. It's the place that many people wish that their country was like, due to the freedoms and protections that the laws and constitution provide.

Perhaps she would prefer that we accept Sharia law. Then, at least, she wouldn't have all that work to do as a judge, being a mere woman and all.

But lets make the US more like the rest of the world....at least everyone else will stop wanting to come here.

On taxes

10% of the taxpayers pay nearly 3/4 of the taxes in this country. 40% of the the wage earning citizens pay no taxes at all.

and the number of folks paying zero taxes is set to rise.....

BTW, that top 10% is folks earning $92,400 or more....

While a bit of tax inequality is to be expected, 40% is too high, and unsustainable.

I guess that the "rich" are now defined as anyone making $92K or more.....

Those are, of course, the folks who work hard for a living.

How long can we continue to take money from those who make good decisions in life and reward bad decisionmakers?

Redistributionists will break this country. We are headed the way of the British. Soon the once proud U.S.A. will be a shadow of it's former self, and the Chinese or Russians, or the Indians will take over as the preeminent (and dominant) society.

We can change the course of the country. But we have to change our leadership paradigm first....

Pirate hostage issue resolved. (or, when you wish to send your very best, Send a SEAL....)

Supposedly, this was at the orders of Mr. Obama.........I thought he would end up being wishy washy in his first confrontational crisis with outsiders. I fully expected him to dither and wonder why these people are the way they are, and wonder about their poor upbringing, and lack of education keeping them in a circle of violence and all that....

Instead, he only took several days worth of dithering to apparently let the Navy Seals do what they do best.....Kill people and break things.

That's what we pay them for, and that's what they train for. Were it up to me, I'd break both arms on the surviving pirate, shoot him in both kneecaps, and cut off his right hand (After all, he is a thief, and a muslim), then send him back to his pirate playmates with the instruction to tell them that this sort of thing will happen to pirates every time the US gets involved.....

But I doubt that the state department will let Mr. Obama do so, even were he able to conjure up the cojones to order it.

At least he appears to be stronger than Mr Carter was (like that would be hard...). But the world was watching this incident, and I doubt that they were greatly impressed with the handling of this. I wonder who else will try testing him, since he doesn't appear to be very decisive or tough....

He's a Medal Of Honor recipient, and we hear NOTHING about the fact that this man has passed. Nothing. We should mourn the loss of men such as these, and praise whatever god we worship that we have men like this to set an example for the rest of us.

But the MSM has more important shit to talk about. Because the pissants weasels ignoramuses supposed journalists decisionmakers in the MSM have no concept of Honor, or courage, or values.

This man defined guts, and duty, and honor. I pray that when the time comes when I need to dig down and find inside myself what I have and what I am made of, I will be able to acquit myself halfway as well as Mr. Freeman.

PROTEST TIME

If you read this blog, you have probably heard about the "Tea Party" protests scheduled for April 15th. I urge everyone to attend their nearest protest. Enough people attending will force the MSM to acknowledge and report on them. Only with this exposure will the movement begin to have an effect. Thus far, the MSM has essentially declined to report on the protests.

Democrats...For the people...(yeah, right!)

So some folks in Massachusetts want ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS to have the right to vote.

Legislators that even think about the idea must be either stupid, or at best, shortsighted.

Some want to allow CRIMINAL ILLEGAL INVADERS to have the chance to vote on laws and legislation. If these people want to change something, let them begin with their OWN COUNTRY, not the US.

But think for a moment of that blue-collar worker who has lost his construction job to illegal immigration; whose property taxes rise to provide services for those working off the tax rolls; and who then finds himself standing in line behind an undocumented-but-legally-registered voter casting ballots on a tax override.
He votes no. The illegal immigrant votes yes. The override passes, and he’s told to accept the results because “the people have spoken.”

I have a cure for this sort of thinking, and would encourage the good folks of Massachusetts to let their legislators know that they are considering it....

I think I have an idea as to the plan....

So it occurs to me (when I am wearing my double-thick tinfoil hat with earflaps and special custom rain drip edge) that the scheme that Mr. Obama has in engineering the "Bailout II" and other BOONDOGGLES Financial Rescue Plans, betrays his real aim for the nation. His (and his associates') plan is to devalue the dollar. This simple seeming, yet nefarious plan will allow him to destroy the wealth of those who have either earned it (no doubt through exploitation of the poor and minorities or who got ahead because of the advantage they had due to education) or who have inherited it (most likely from someone who exploited some minority to gain HIS/HER wealth). The continued devaluation of the dollar due to his inflationary practices makes IRA's, 401's and savings (not to mention inherited wealth) significantly lower in buying power. This inflationary practice will greatly reduce the wealth gap in the coming years. This plays into his class warfare past.... Essentially, by devaluing the dollar, eventually minimum wage will be something like $12/hour and climbing. As he taxes people making ever less (changing the definition of "rich"...Once it was a million bucks per year, Currently it is $250K per year, and soon it will be lower) he brings us ever more even. Taxing the "rich" to an ever increasing degree at one end, and devaluing the dollar at the other, he will soon have erased the wealth of most middle class and nouveaux "rich".

Therefore, by reducing the value of the dollar through inflation, he effectively wipes out or reduces the savings of those who have worked hard to get ahead. Thereby removing or greatly reducing wealth and bringing those of us who have succeeded (be it by exploitation, or hard work, or luck or whatever) closer to the level of those who have nothing (due to laziness, lack of education, bad luck or bad judgement). He's always wanted to raise the underprivileged up, but being unable to do so, he's going to bring the top down.

We all know that he is a redistributionist. But since "we the people" won't allow too much redistribution, he is instead reducing the wealth of those of us who work hard and succeeded (to whatever measure we have). Instead of redistributing wealth, thereby equalizing us via redistribution, he will do so by reducing wealth through inflation, making us all equal. Those who have nothing will not be damaged by inflation in the long run, as they have little or no savings to lose, whereas the rest of us, those with savings or retirement will be greatly damaged by Zimbabwe-like runaway inflation. We have much to lose. Ultimately, all saved or accumulated wealth will be very nearly wiped out. Soon we will all be equal financially.

If the poor cannot be lifted up, then the rest must be lowered....

DNC lies

Excuse me for being redundant in the title....

The DNC released a statement this week that they had collected 642,000 signatures of pledges from across the country in support of Obama's massive budget.

Except they didn't....


The official DNC release read, "Supporters of President Obama's budget to hand deliver 642,000 pledges...." CNN and the Huffington Post reported the DNC's claim. But the truth is somewhat more complicated.

The president's e-mail list of 13-million resulted in just 114,000 individual pledges — a response rate of less than 1 percent. Party workers secured another 100,000 signatures by hitting the streets. The DNC arrived at its 642,000 figure by making three photocopies of each petition so that every signer's senators and representative could get one.

Doncha just hate it when ya get caught?????

We already do government housing, medical care, food stamps, etc.....to the 'disadvantaged".

Now we are giving cell phones!


Someone in government needs to learn the difference between necessities and conveniences, needs and wants.

But then again, liberals have always had a hard time with that, haven't they?

Next,I suppose will be free fashions for the ladies so that they can keep up their self esteem...... Lingerie? Where does it stop???

THe Obamas give the Queen of Frickin England an IPOD. THe DVD's to Gordon Brown were classless enough, but to give the queen an Ipod???

This man embarasses me. He embarasses the country. Between His and Hillary's "gaffes", It is becoming clear that they are either imcopetent classless boobs playing at being heads of state, or they are doing what they can to damage our relationships with our allies.

It's enough to make you wonder....
