So again, we see cops get away with killing someone they shouldn't have....
I find it odd that all four sources of video.... the 2 dashcams and the 2 bodycams all failed to work or were somehow turned off.....and that the cops testimony weighed more than the other eyewitnesses....and that there were no charges brought at all....
Were that my father or my kin, I think that my "favorite sister" would "whisper in the ear" of those deputies.
Seeing as how the Justice System has failed.....
Was it the Blue Wall that let them get away with it? Or something even more sinister?

As it is, Black people (who are approximately 12.7% of the population) commit over 45% of the crime....and bitch because more black men are in prison than whites.....Black men are, by my math, 6% of the population of the US....
Blacks get 34% of the welfare dollars spent....(remember, 12.7% of the population)...Most of which is paid for by white folks. (SNAP is another matter, Can't find decent verifiable statistics, but it appears that that 12% of the population gets over 35% of SNAP too)
In other words, Black people get a significantly higher percentage ofhandouts government assistance than any other segment of the US population....
So do these Black Lives Matter and other folks stirring the pot really think that they can get more for "their" people by making more trouble? Don't they see the backlash that is growing? Do they really think that their causes will be better served when white people have had enough?
Make no mistake, I know many black people who I respect, who work hard just like my white friends....Who are decent people...Law abiding, classy, decent moral and just plain good folks. Their only difference from other of my friends is a bit more melanin and curlier hair..... They aren't the ones having trouble with the cops, they aren't the ones rioting and protesting and shit...(they have jobs and families and such that take up their time).
But these troublemakers...really, do they think that this shit is gonna make their perceived plight better? (not that their lives are all that bad...I mean, they have the same chance to make bad choices as the rest of us, they just make those bad choices when most of us decent folks choose not to....and they live better than the majority of people in other countries even in their "poverty" and despite the white man "Oppressing" them....)
Do they really think they are going to make the average white guy think better of them for this racial shit? Make Joe and Jane Whitebred trust black people more? Make them welcome them into their non integrated neighborhood? Want to have them in their towns?

If you belong to an organization....a service club, a car club, a biker club, a members only shooting range.....
For God's sake, if they ask for help with labor or an event or work parties, help out. Give a few hours to make the event go better. Work the work party. Clean up trash after the event. Sling a paintbrush or drive a nail. If you don't know how to do any of these things, still volunteer. SOmeone will teach you. Trust me, your help is needed.
Don't be part of the 85+ percent of the members that just bitch about things without lending a hand.... Make things happen. Help out if you don't wanna run the show.
But do something. Even if it is hot and sweaty work. No one ever drowned in sweat.
Volunteers make these organizations. Do your share.

Until we admit that, we can't begin to deal with the issue.

The Sig has arrived!!!
So remember the fun I had with Gander Mountain and the Sig Sauer 1911...?
Wrong caliber....Easy mistake....
Then the "yes we will take your order" but then "no we won't" and "yes we have it in stock", but then "no, we don't"...."Yes, backorders are OK", but then, "no, sorry, that firearms isn't available, sorry". "We cancelled your order, but took our time about refunding your credit card"....
Well, I gave up.
Called the FFL that works through our range....we get his cost plus 10% profit for the range. Kinda nice.
All told, he got me the fixed night sight version of the pistol I wanted (adjustable target sights) for only $68 more than what I would have paid through Gander Mountain.
Got it Thursday.
Had time on Wed to go to the range and actually put it through it's paces.
Me likey.
Standard 1911 frame, only with 25 per inch checkering on the front strap. not too sharp, but makes for a nice grip. 20 per inch checkering on the mainspring makes it easy to keep your grip even in rapid fire. Trigger is a nice 4.2 lbs.
I had wanted target adjustable sights, but apparently Sig, while showing them in their catalog,is really hiding them in a secret detention center outside of Indianapolis not shipping them to any of the distributors that any of the FFL's that I work with can buy from...so I bought this one.
Fixed night sights are OK. Good size notch, the dots are decently sized and spaced. I can live with them. (yes, I am whining). Actually, I like em a lot. Tritium night sights are, of course, nice in the dark.
The gun shoots dead on, right outside of the box. I might go with a slightly slimmer set of grips, but these are well checkered and nicely curved and fit the hand OK. And double diamond 1911 grips are cheap and easy to find in any thickness...The "speed bump" grip safety may get a bit of filing to round the edge just a bit, especially on the left side, but then again, as I shoot it more, this may not be an issue as I might get used to it. Dunno, have to see.
It ate factory WWB 230g ball no problem, and also some reloads (4.9 grains 231 230 g ball). Overall, 30 rounds of WWB and 50 of my reloads had zero hiccups. Ejection is very consistent. I could have placed a 5 gallon bucket in the right place and had 90% of the brass hit the mouth of the bucket. This is an external extractor, not a real JMB 1911 type (more like what you'd get on a new style Hi Power).
The 8 round mags from Sig drop free, as do my other 7 and 8 round 1911 mags. The magwell is small, but slightly beveled and reloads aren't much trouble. (The rapid fire target from 50 feet (below), I did 2 5 shot strings in just under 4 1/2 seconds including the reload ). Could (should) have been faster, I bobbled the reload... but then again I am used to a bigger magwell....
All told, I like this pistol. I will have to work with it a bit more to like it more than my Para, but we have been old friends for a while, and this newcomer is gonna take some getting used to.....
Slow fire, now I gotta say, that was fun. Group size was just over 3" at 50 feet, and the pistol came back on target nicely each time. Can't say that I am unhappy with this target.

Bad, no matter how you look at it.
So the alternative media (internet) has pointed out that the dude shot in Minneapolis, Philando Castile, was carrying a gun, and that the officer had a good reason to be twitchy, as he had pulled the car over because the driver somewhat resembled a person of interest for a robbery that had occurred 4 days before....
I don't buy it.
Now, a couple of points: I have been pulled over and questioned by police because I resembled a dude who had actually SHOT at officers. They were firm, polite and professional, if a bit tense. They knew and understood that I might not have been the guy they were looking for. Make no mistake, I could have been shot that night, but they were't hair trigger cocked and locked waiting for me to move wrong so they could shoot me. (but had I done something stupid, I might well have been perforated). I am just glad I didn't sneeze.....
The presence of a gun, by anyone, black or not, is not a reason for a cop to shoot anyone (were that the case, then cops themselves should be shot by every armed citizen that sees them, doncha think?) . Nope, until the pistol is grasped and POINTED, or at least moved towards the cop, the cop has no reason to be shooting anyone. Just because the pistol is in view is not a valid reason to shoot. Draw from the holster? Maybe even point it at the person they have pulled over? Perhaps...... But shoot just because the gun is seen (and remember, announced at the start of the traffic stop)....?
I am all about officer safety. I would like to see each cop go home safe and uninjured at the end of every shift. But if the officer has that thought in mind only, even up to shooting innocent (and remember, until there is reasonable evidence that the dude did commit the robbery, he is innocent) people because he "felt threatened" because there was an announced firearm in the car, then he shouldn't be a cop. If his fear overrides all else, if he will shoot someone just because there is a gun in the car and because the person he is afraid of doesn't sit still like a statue, then he shouldn't be a cop....in fact, he shouldn't be allowed to carry a gun at all, ever.
Now, having said that, I wasn't there. I didn't see what happened prior to the start of the video. I didn't see what Philando Castile did to make the officer put 4 in his torso....but I gotta say, no matter how you slice this, it looks bad. Very bad.
Let's recap:
Vague resemblance to the description of a robber from 4 days ago. Black male, wide nose, dreadlocks.
In car with family....child in backseat.
Officer is told up front there is a firearm in the car.
Dude moves when told to freeze, but also was told to show ID conflicting orders? Dunno. Still not a reason to shoot him unless he places hand on gun and draws it or attempts to. Yeah, I know, it can all happen in a second and all that. Still...
Nope, I, who am more than likely gonna give the cops the benefit of the doubt in most cases, can't do so this time.
I've been there. My officers stepped back, and (with drawn pistols, mind you) asked (ordered) me to open the door from the outside with my left hand and step out with my hands in plain view....(and remember, this was 20 minutes AFTER (and 10 miles away from) when some dude who looked like me and was driving a similar vehicle had SHOT at an officer....they asked me to turn around and then they removed the pistol from my holster....then they investigated who I was and where I was coming from. Much more professionally done, and much safer for all of us..... They gave clear directions and I followed them. They were tense but calmly professional....Not scared shitless because someone else had a firearm....Maybe because I am white, but I really don't think so....more because they were professional and smarter about the whole thing.... I'm glad, 'cause I didn't end up dead. Or shot.
I think Officer Jeronimo Yanez was afraid, overreacted and shot a man by mistake.
I don't buy it.

Nope, until the pistol is grasped and POINTED, or at least moved towards the cop, the cop has no reason to be shooting anyone. Just because the pistol is in view is not a valid reason to shoot. Draw from the holster? Maybe even point it at the person they have pulled over? Perhaps...... But shoot just because the gun is seen (and remember, announced at the start of the traffic stop)....?
I am all about officer safety. I would like to see each cop go home safe and uninjured at the end of every shift. But if the officer has that thought in mind only, even up to shooting innocent (and remember, until there is reasonable evidence that the dude did commit the robbery, he is innocent) people because he "felt threatened" because there was an announced firearm in the car, then he shouldn't be a cop. If his fear overrides all else, if he will shoot someone just because there is a gun in the car and because the person he is afraid of doesn't sit still like a statue, then he shouldn't be a cop....in fact, he shouldn't be allowed to carry a gun at all, ever.
Now, having said that, I wasn't there. I didn't see what happened prior to the start of the video. I didn't see what Philando Castile did to make the officer put 4 in his torso....but I gotta say, no matter how you slice this, it looks bad. Very bad.
Let's recap:
Vague resemblance to the description of a robber from 4 days ago. Black male, wide nose, dreadlocks.
In car with family....child in backseat.
Officer is told up front there is a firearm in the car.
Dude moves when told to freeze, but also was told to show ID conflicting orders? Dunno. Still not a reason to shoot him unless he places hand on gun and draws it or attempts to. Yeah, I know, it can all happen in a second and all that. Still...
Nope, I, who am more than likely gonna give the cops the benefit of the doubt in most cases, can't do so this time.
I've been there. My officers stepped back, and (with drawn pistols, mind you) asked (ordered) me to open the door from the outside with my left hand and step out with my hands in plain view....(and remember, this was 20 minutes AFTER (and 10 miles away from) when some dude who looked like me and was driving a similar vehicle had SHOT at an officer....they asked me to turn around and then they removed the pistol from my holster....then they investigated who I was and where I was coming from. Much more professionally done, and much safer for all of us..... They gave clear directions and I followed them. They were tense but calmly professional....Not scared shitless because someone else had a firearm....Maybe because I am white, but I really don't think so....more because they were professional and smarter about the whole thing.... I'm glad, 'cause I didn't end up dead. Or shot.
I think Officer Jeronimo Yanez was afraid, overreacted and shot a man by mistake.

Thursday on the “The Mike Gallagher Show,” Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus said considering the Supreme Court picks the next president is likely to have, some Republicans “are screwing around with the next 40 years,” by not supporting presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump.
Priebus said, “It’s important for those folks to understand that support for someone else, or nobody, is support for Hillary Clinton and Sonia Sotomayor and a lot more of them on the Supreme Court…So they’re not just screwing around with the next four years. Some of these folks are screwing around with the next 40 years. So if you actually believe in this stuff and you actually want to have a conservative Supreme Court, and you think it matters, and you want someone to actually sign a budget bill that balances the thing hopefully within the next ten years for God sakes, then you’re gonna need a Republican in the White House. Otherwise we’re just wasting everyone’s time and money.”

Intent?
Since when does "Intent" matter?
"Although we did not find clear evidence that Secretary Clinton or her colleagues intended to violate laws governing the handling of classified information, there is information that they were extremely careless in their handling of very sensitive, highly classified information," Comey told reporters in Washington, D.C
How many people are behind bars for crimes they did not "Intend" to commit?
She still allowed classified data to be placed on a non secure server. There was no doubt that she set up the server, that she used it for government business (and one wonders if she was using that server so that there were no ramifications for FOIA probes) and that she did, in fact, conduct government business, including the transfer of sensitive and classified data on the server owned and operated by herself.
While there may be no finger pointing evidence that shown intent, there was a clear failure to abide by any rules regarding government business conducted via Email.....a complete disregard for security.....
and, ultimately, she mishandled classified data. Whether she "intended" to or not.
Guilty. Charge her. Here is why. 18 USC 793 (f) Whoever, being entrusted with or having lawful possession or control of any document, writing, code book, signal book, sketch, photograph, photographic negative, blueprint, plan, map, model, instrument, appliance, note, or information, relating to the national defense, (1) through gross negligence permits the same to be removed from its proper place of custody or delivered to anyone in violation of his trust, or to be lost, stolen, abstracted, or destroyed, or (2) having knowledge that the same has been illegally removed from its proper place of custody or delivered to anyone in violation of its trust, or lost, or stolen, abstracted, or destroyed, and fails to make prompt report of such loss, theft, abstraction, or destruction to his superior officer—
