Truer words cannot be found:

"It says something essential about governments, NGOs and QUANGOs that there’s never money for trail maintenance before the tree fells some poor bastard, and there’s always money enough afterward, money which must have been there all along."

As usual... That money went to 'pay off' somebody for something...

The best I can describe it was a very squirrel meeting someplace high up in the tree I arrived on schedule only to have my ass chewed because I had missed a telecon earlier. I replied - you sent the notice of the telecon to us an hour after it was over (hello? different time zone?) The chairman replied "you should have planned better".

I know, but I still like to think I'm making a differencem if only in my little corner where we have a Smith and Wesson calender and donuts.
