Then the Confederates
Now they want to rewrite history to get rid of Columbus day.
When will they sanitize history enough to make everyone happy?
I like the fact that the Italian American's are upset....."It's a slap in the face"...
How much more rewriting of and outright erasures of history will we allow?

Damn good question... sigh
How much better can it get for these folks? They're replacing a holiday honoring a Christian man who had the balls to cross an ocean to see what was on the other side, and had the chutzpa to get a queen to finance it, with a holiday honoring pagans who ran around in loincloths, had no idea how to prepare for lean years, hadn't discovered steel yet, let alone firearms, and couldn't get along with each other enough to form societies... or alliances... of more than a couple of hundred without going to war internally.
...'Sounds like an ANTIFA rally, actually...
I think they keep erasing or rewriting history because those who do not know history are doomed to repeat it. So their strategy has been to make sure an entire generation has either no idea or only derision for that which has gone before.
According to my liberal daughter who taught history for 6 years it's because he kept slaves and married a 13 year old. When I pointed out different times it just became incoherent from there. I have a conservative son and I don't know where I went wrong with this one. But honestly she's been a bleeding heart since she was a child.
Similar 'bad' behavior is not only excused by Mohammed, but is revered. Let's abolish Islam. It is a plague on humanity.
