I'd tell em to go somewhere else to worship.

So some folks feel unsafe because of a plaque.

Fuckin' Snowflakes.

Fuck 'em.

It is history.

“The plaques in our sanctuary make some in our presence feel unsafe or unwelcome," leaders said, a reference to the fact that Washington was a slaveholder.

Christ, what has our society become? Is it all Goodspeak/Badspeak that runs our society anymore?
Y'know, George Orwell wasn't supposed to be a prophet.

Our country was built on bravery, but has succumbed to the whimpers of cowardice...

Actually, founded on slavery, but I digress. There were two plaques, one for Washington and another for Robert E. Lee, who had both worshipped there. They decided that relocating one while ignoring the issue with the other was unwise, so they relocated them both and provided some context. Sounds like better history than before.

If bravery is ignoring what injustice was done in the past, then we are doomed. Bravery is recognizing our errors and working to prevent a reoccurrence, even when it isn't "best" for us...cowardice is refusing to acknowledge that we are not perfect and being unwilling to learn and grow. We have already given up some liberty in exchange for "security" and found the lie behind that promise, a free society is a target until it is no longer free...and even then remains a target, but no longer free.
