Did any of them get into a car and follow the abductor while calling police and telling them exactly where he was?? I've done that with Drunk drivers who did property damage...followed them and helped the police nail them. ANd sometimes I had to run into the house and get my keys and start my car and actually go LOOK for the dude. But these folks "watched in horror". Did they think to intervene in any way besides calling 911?

One man chased the truck down, trying to catch it, while his wife memorized the license plates, and called the cops. He was caught within 24 hours, but it was already too late for the little girl. Most of the rest of the onlookers were also children.
The monster was also the In School Suspension monitor, so had probably had access to other kids in ones and twos for a while before he did that.
I've been following the story. My family lives an hour away.
