question:
If the "Sequester" is going to furlough tens of thousands of policemen, FBI agents and other law enforcement officers (according to his Greatness, the O, even though he is either wrong or lying), then really, isn't disarming the peasants law abiding citizenry a bad idea?
Who is going to keep a lid onrampaging Democrats criminals?
Who is going to deal with all those thugs when the police are furloughed?
Since all we will have is crazy uncle Joe's double barreled shotgun......

Remember Waco
It all began 20 years ago today.
The ATF cowboys, in what was essentially a media stunt, began the broughaha which ended in the deaths of 67 men, women and children.
All so that the ATF could have it's publicity.
Look into the stupidity, the incompetency, and foolishness which led to this mess. Take a few minutes and learn.
Think the ATF is any better today? Any policing agency? Think LA and Chris Dorner.
Say a prayer for those 67 souls whose fate was determined, beginning 20 years ago.
And remember: Next time it could be you or me.
Or any group that "The Government" doesn't approve of.

third try the charm
The Para is finally what I would call reliable.
So I completed the 500 round torture test of the "new" Para LDA 3" .
500 rounds, no cleaning, and zero failures that were not ammo related (2 dud primers and one missing primer on the reloads, and an oversized. badly crimped/mutant load on the factory ammo.
I am glad that this pistol has passed the test. I can comfortably carry it with reasonable assurance the not only will it go bang when I need it to, but that it won't jam or fail in another way.
It is just a shame that it took 3 tries with Para to get it right.
DO you test your carry gun to see if it will work in less than perfect conditions? Will it work when you need it to? Can it go hundreds of rounds without a failure?
Are you sure enough that you will stake your life on it?

Bet this makes the "unruly" come out big time:
Guntersville authorities would confiscate guns of “unruly” individuals during disasters.
Yeah, like that'll work.
She must be getting advice from the Obama administration.

Lying liars and their lies
We have to release illegal immigrants NOW because we will soon have to make hard choices on spending......
Much like we will supposedly have to shut down the USDA meat inspectors(and therefore the meat packing plants) because it is more effective as a terror tactic to do so than to furlough the management staff.
Same with the Air Traffic Controllers. Or the FAA. Or the parks. Or other departments.
Seems that they can't find some way to save 2.5% of their budget. The budget that grew from 2.9 trillion in 2008 to 3.8 trillion in 2011. But these assholes can't find a way to save 80 billion.
The Obama administration, congress and the rest of the government would rather shut down "essential services" than cut spending.
We should throw them all out. Time for the pitchforks and the ropes and a map of handy lampposts.
They think cuts and such are beneath their dignity? How much dignity will you have when the torches and ropes come out?
If they can't cut spending to prove a point, or to get their way, then they have abrogated their oath as senators, congressmen, and president. At which time we need to toss 'em out. With prejudice if need be.

Dear Sirs:
Dear Sirs:
I am a fan of Sig-Sauer pistols. Currently I own a 250 in 9mm, a 238, a 938 and a 1911-22. I own many other makes and brands as well. I purchase 3-5 firearms per year.
As you are no doubt aware, the State of New York has passed new laws which drastically limit the types of firearms which law abiding citizens of that state can purchase, and greatly restrict their freedoms. There is a boycott underway of firearms manufacturers and suppliers which limits sales to law enforcement to those items which can be purchased and possessed by every citizens of the state.
I strongly urge you to join this boycott of sales to NY state, county and local law enforcement personnel of firearms which would be illegal for non law enforcement citizens to own.
I realize that there is a large market for not only firearms, but also parts and services supplied to these law enforcement departments, but I urge you to consider the restrictions placed on the other market, the citizens of the state who also purchase your products.
Take a stand. Announce that you will not continue to seek contracts to supply firearms or magazines to law enforcement in the state of New York which cannot be purchased nor owned by any common citizen. Join the boycott.
It would be a shame for me to not be able to purchase, for reasons of principle, any more Sig-Sauer firearms.
Sincerely
This was sent to Sig-Sauer.

Registration is a step towards confiscation. Ask the Germans prior to WWII.
"Democrats say that keeping records of private sales is necessary to enforce any new law"
The GOP will not even bother to get something else in the negotiation as they give away our gun rights.
You stupid bastards need to stand fast and say "HELL NO".
If you have to negotiate, then get something in return. Say a repeal of GCA 1968. Something.
Don't just roll onto your back and spread your legs, Senators. Fight.

Oh that we could force the folks from Chicago and other liberals from Illinois who move to Indiana to read THIS.
Maybe make 'em read and sign a paper stating that they moved here to get away from the liberal shithole they helped create, so stop trying to change their new home to be like the one they escaped from.

Even in liberal (and Democratically controlled) Lake County, Indiana
The gun control push has failed.
Seems that the commissioners chose freedom over control.
Seems that the commissioners chose freedom over control.
Lake commissioners stick to their gun shows (link)
Despite an ignorant, lying Sheriff, the county commissioners chose to stand for the citizens that elected them, and chose to reject his call for an end to gun shows.
This push is, of course, from the Chicago anti-gun liberals, and likely funded by the Bloomberg anti-gun PAC, Independence USA.
Kudos to the Lake County, Indiana commissioners. Our Sheriff should be beaten Tossed booted Fired, if only because he lied, and because he doesn't know the law and can't be bothered to research it. Is it too much to ask that that he chief law enforcement officer in the county know the laws, and be truthful about his statements?
Freedom:
What does "Freedom" mean to you?
It means many things to each individual.
Does it mean to be left alone, to have barriers to prosperity removed , to have a level playing field? To have the security to succeed? Or the freedom to fail? The ability to protect yourself, and to determine your own future and your own fortune? To have the ability to purchase (and possess) the tools you need to ensure your own physical security and to feed, house and clothe yourself? To be able to choose where you live, and whom you associate with, and make your own determination as to how you will provide for yourself and your family? To have the freedom to succeed and follow your dreams? To starve if that failure occurs?
Or does it mean something else?
To many, it means security. Security to go to work, to come home and eat dinner. Security to watch TMZ or to spend an hour watching "Survivor". To live in a secure bubble, that security provided by the big daddy bear government. By someone else, someone who can make those hard decisions. Someone who you can give your loyalty to, in exchange for a slight loss of liberties in order that you will feel safe. To live in the zone that is defined for you, in your caste level and your place in society. In a place where rules are made to reflect the lowest common denominator? Where intrusive rules are in place to prevent what MIGHT happen, in order to protect the collective, albeit at a loss of freedom and action.
I fear that kind of security, that faux freedom.
I prefer the other kind. The kind that allows me to succeed, or fail. The kind that enables me to win or lose according to my abilities and the abilities of my compatriots. The kind where I have a level playing field to pit my wits and abilities against others, and let the chips fall where they may. Where I am responsible for my existence, not Big Brother or his elites. Where I have few rules which I must obey, only needing to not harm others or the society in which I live. Where the safety net is slack, and missing in some areas. Where i must provide only for myself, my family, and my friends and those who I choose to give to, not nameless, faceless people whose subsistence is taken from me by the barrel of a gun.
I prefer my version of "freedom" rather than the other.I prefer to hold to the idea of freedom to take an individual approach to my responsibility and security, rather than a collective approach to safety and security. I'd prefer to see the freedom to choose and act, rather than one which denies us that right.
The choice is simple: Serf or citizen? Sheep or sheepdog? Rights of the individual, or the collective herding us into the appropriate pen for processing.
I know what I choose. Do you?
Freedom does not come without a price.
That price is eternal vigilance. The willingness to fight for that freedom. To stand up and say "It stops here". To be the force which stops it.
Are you willing to pay the price?

We just want to make it too expensive to have them.
Not sure if this will pass, but it shows how they will never stop trying.
If this doesn't work, then expect them to (highly) tax each firearm like an automobile....

So what would happen
in the press and the gun grabbing circles (but I repeat myself) if I were to design and print a line of paper targets which used police officers, soldiers or FBI agents or ATF agents as subjects?
I mean, would they cry that I was conditioning myself and others to shoot at agents of the government? How about long range targets (say 250-500 meters) of police cars? Maybe some closer targets of men wearing FBI hats...say 50-100 meters? Xrings on the heads, of course.
How about if I used young black men? (Statistically the highest demographic for crime....) in any scenario.
Just for training purposes....If and when. I case we ever see the unthinkable happen. Unusual scenarios and all that.....
What would be the difference between that and the targets put out by Law Enforcement Targets Inc, and marketed to (and purchased by) the police departments and agents of ourbenign overlords?
Perhaps I can market some Vicki Weaver targets or Branch Davidian targets to the HRT sharpshooters at Quantico...signed by Lon Horiuchi while I am at it.

One year review: Belt.
BestBelt by Michael. (EvylRobot).
A little over a year ago, I saw Michael's holster site for the and his sooper-dooper extra strong incredible belt.
Since I carry every day (sometimes a snubby revolver, sometimes a full size 1911, and other assorted firearms), I have worn out my share of belts. Generally they stretch and become twisted, and eventually provide no support for my firearms. I hate it when an IWB holster isn't secure because the belt allows the holster to flop around.I generally can't find a belt that lasts longer than 4-6 months before it is stretched out and useless.
Enter the "Best Belt".(Bestbelt.com). Guaranteed forever, plus 6 months. Higher in nutrition and whitens teeth better than.....Wait, just guaranteed forever.
This is a well built item. 2 layers of leather with some sort of artificially man made fiber (maybe kevlar?) sandwiched in between. It has held up to nearly daily wear (at lest 8 hours a day) for over a year.
When I got the belt, it was, to be frank, very stiff. Stiff enough to keep your pants standing up without you being in them. Stiff enough that the belt would not stay coiled. A bit of use, the belt became a lot less stiff. Not as supple and flexible as a "normal" leather belt, but soft enough.
The leather has held up well, keeping it's shine and color. It has remained new looking and good looking enough that I ordered another one a few months later, only with a basket weave pattern instead of asmooth plain finish.
Not a s cheap as those belts you'll find at the flea market, but better made and longer lasting.
Need a belt that will hold up well? That you can use to tow a car? A truck? Maybe even a 747? Possibly the Space Shuttle? That is sturdy enough to hold a full size pistol and holster in daily wear and for over a year and stay good looking? Then this is the belt for you.

Gunshow AAR
Valpo gunshow yesterday.
Lots of people. The line was seldom less than 150 people long, even after noon. My understanding was that at the opening bell there were in excess of 700 people in line, waiting for the doors to open. I don't know what the attendance numbers will be, but the gate collection must have been huge. Likely the Dunes Rifle and Pistol club made a profit on the day. Big time.
There were few deals to be had. Evil Black Rifles/Assault Weapons were available, but at very high prices. Saw a few enterprising capitalists carrying such rifles for sale, but at highly inflated prices, and few buyers. Ammo was available at inflated pricing. 5.56x45 available in limited quantities at $1.00 per round. Other calibers available at similar prices/availabilities.
Reloading supplies were similar. Pricing was inflated, and supplies/selection was limited.
Pistols were available, in quantities. Prices were fairly high, near MSRP. Sales were...brisk. LOTS of women buying.
Most vendors that I know....And I know a fair percentage of them at this show, all agree that pricing will likely return to near pre-Newtown levels in 3-5 months. Maybe. Probably.
I gotta say that the attitude of the crowd was....dispirited. Everyone was, of course, polite. (Never yet seen a gunshow crowd that wasn't!). But the attitude was not as genial and happy as that of past gushows. Both vendors and buyers were different in attitude. Hard to put a finger on. Stressed.
I did see OG and Partner in passing, but he was coming in as I was leaving, so we didn't spend much time together....Maybe next time.

Seems that he isn't much for "Business as usual" when it comes to politely following the standard practices amongst gentlemen. He has apparently pissed off the Old Guard in both parties.
Ted Cruz is apparently shaking things up because he doesn't let the "old" ways of doing business keep him from asking the hard questions. Or getting someone to take real action.

Are Democrats really THAT stupid?
That they would allow legislation like THIS to ever make it to committee, rather than quietly take the sponsor out back and beat him discourage them from ever trying with such an attempt in thefirst place.
4. Any person who, prior to the effective date of this law, was legally in possession of an assault weapon or large capacity magazine shall have ninety days from such effective date to do any of the following without being subject to prosecution:
(1) Remove the assault weapon or large capacity magazine from the state of Missouri;
(2) Render the assault weapon permanently inoperable; or
(3) Surrender the assault weapon or large capacity magazine to the appropriate law enforcement agency for destruction, subject to specific agency regulations.
Seriously. Does anyone think that such bills have a chance of passing? It might work on the East coast where there is a liberal in every garage, or Kalifornia, but in the Midwest? Seriously, Are they THAT disconnected? Don't they realize that bills such as these unite the people against them, and anger and alienate even those who are, for the most part, otherwise ambivalent?
And in Wisconsin:
A Democratic state senator and three Democratic state representatives have circulated draft legislation that would ban civilian possession of hollow point or frangible ammunition.
Notice that the legislators in this instance are from more "urban" settings.

Amazon stopping sales of gun products?
Hope THIS isn't true.
My household spends THOUSANDS of dollars on Amazon.
If they go this route, it'll make shopping very inconvenient for me to have to go elsewhere for my books, music and all that other stuff. Books and music are only (maybe) 10% of what I buy through them.
But if they go there, then I'll stop using them.
I already moved my merchant account from a BOA affiliated credit card processor at my business over the Firearms issue. $400K worth of credit cards now go through another processor due to 2nd Amendment issues.
I'll wait and see if Amazon clarifies their position.
My household spends THOUSANDS of dollars on Amazon.

little mini Tunguska
Meteor explodes in Russia
Could happen here.
Or we could have a MAJOR strike.
Luckily, only 500 or so injured. No major injuries, and AFAIK, no one killed. Power and cell phones were disrupted for a while, but nothing permanent.
Just think what could happen with a BIG one. This one was, by comparison, tiny."Only" 5 tons or so.
Bet the folks in Russia shit a brick.

one more
comment on Dorner.
The outcome was set in stone once the cops began looking for him. Unless he turned himself in to another county, with news media present, his demise was certain.
Was he innocent? probably not. But go HERE, follow the link, and read the transcript of the final moments.
You might begin to understand.

"When it is time to shoot....Shoot!"
And keep shooting until the threat is stopped
So says the Lewis County Sheriff Steve Mansfield.
"About the only thing I can say that the victim could have done differently (is that) he could have fired sooner, he could have fired more often, and he could have used a better brand of ammunition,"
Good advice, I think.

It is bad enough that they use the dead children as props in their assault on your freedom.
But those who are allowing Gabby Giffords to be used as a tool in the fight for gun control should be beaten about the knees with a small ball peen hammer.

Due process
Question for the police:
Since the LAPD seems to feel that they have the right to murder Christopher Dorner....The fact that they have attempted to do so twice, opening fire wildly on pickups that (sorta, in the fact that they are pickups) resemble Mr Dorner's.....piloted by people who don't resemble him at all demonstrates this.
Does Mr. Dorner have the right to due process? To the assumption of innocence until tried and convicted? Or do the police have the right to presumptively kill him to safeguard themselves? I realize that they think that he killed "one of their own", but does that suspicion give them the right to kill him over that suspicion rather than attempt to arrest him?
Do you and I have that right? Can we preemptively unload the contents of our firearms in the general direction of someone we suspect may do us harm? Do we have the right to kill someone we think may have murdered a family member or friend? Or are we required to let the justice system work and let the State decide the punishment? Have we the right to take the law into our own hands?
Apparently the police do (or at least they THINK they do, and no one is stopping them). While it appears that Mr. Dorner has done some bad things, do the police have the right to gun him down without attempting to arrest him first? For all we know, he is innocent of the charges. (probably not, but until tried, do they have the right to execute him?). They act as if they DO have the right, if only to protect themselves. I disagree. If they are that afraid, the perhaps they are in the wrong line of work. If they cannot accept that the job has a certain amount of risk, then perhaps they should choose another profession.
The police DO NOT have the right to preemtively gun down a person suspected of a crime. Period. Be it against the police fraternity or any other citizen. They may (obviously) feel that they do, in order that they go home safe at the end of the day. Or to extract "Justice". Too bad. They don't have that right.
'Cause if they have that right, then the rest of us do too. And truthfully, I think the police are as much a danger to me as any other people I meet on a daily basis. Which would make them legal targets for me. Which would turn out bad for everybody involved. Luckily, I don't have that right....Neither should the police....nor do they.
I really don't think that the LAPD is any different in attitude than most other police departments. Which should be a lesson for all of us.

Procedures:
Rumor has it that the Los Angeles Police have changed their procedures for stopping pickups.
After the two incidents (see below) the new procedure is to continue firing in order that there are no complaints about unjustifiable shootings.
No victims were available for comment.

THem Vs Us
Think about this:
Hundreds of people are killed in the greater LA area every year. Some, of course, are drug dealers killed buy other drug dealers and such. But many aren't.
Yet the cops accept these killings of innocents as normal. Part of the day's events. Just one of those things.
But some dude threatens cops and cop's families. They mobilize EVERYONE. They shoot at shadows. Nearly kill anyone who they perceive (however wrongly, see my previous posts). The entire LA basin's police force is focused on one thing, killing Chris Dorner.
Now I understand that they see him as a threat. But it looks to me like the police administration are willing to spend a great deal of overtime putting cops on the street looking for this guy, and in protective details for their own. But they can't be bothered to do so for the "average" person on the street. No overtime to clean out the bad areas, no manhunts for folks who kill only ordinary citizens.
Why is that?
And another thought:
Christopher Dorner isn't Superman. He doesn't appear to have more than average skills with firearms. Nor does he seem to be any more dangerous than the average firearm owner anywhere else. Yet he has the cops peeing in their boots. Shooting at noises and shadows. Scared enough that they are shooting first and checking later. (and luckily, apparently not aiming either)
If people chose to, (and lets face it, there are more of us than there are of them, and it is a good thing that we are all decent law abiding citizens, at least so far) how much fear, chaos and damage could we citizens do to the police should we choose to make that happen? To emulate the example of Christopher Dorner? To go hunting? To target them? What happens when death comes from 600 yards away? When ambushes happen? What happens when the citizens grow tired of the abuses?
'Cause the only thing that keeps us at bay is the rule of (and belief in) the law. Common decency and the fact that we respect (so far) the laws enough to overlook much of the behavior of the police.
Should that change, then what? What will they do? One dude has them scared. What happens when it becomes many people? People who have real serious skills, not cop level skills. People who practice for fun, not because it is part of the job. Think that'll be different than ganging up 10-1 on some street level gang banger and his friends at night?
Methinks this needs pondering.

If I had a pickup
Any pickup, Any truck at all.... and I lived in or near LA.....Any color, any make, any model, any age....
I think I'd park it right now, in order to keep the LA law enforcement community from mistaking it for one driven (Or, more likely abandoned by now) by Christopher Dorner, the fugitive.
Seems that the cops in the greater Los Angeles area can't determine color, make or model of a truck. Can't determine the size or race of the driver. Luckily for one pickup driver, David Perdue, they can't hit anything that they shoot at either. I figure he is, thanks to the Torrance cops, set for life(after the lawsuit).
David Perdue was on his way to sneak in some surfing before work Thursday morning when police flagged him down. They asked who he was and where he was headed, then sent him on his way.
Seconds later, Perdue's attorney said, a Torrance police cruiser slammed into his pickup and officers opened fire; none of the bullets struck Perdue.
His pickup, police later explained, matched the description of the one belonging to Christopher Jordan Dorner — the ex-cop who has evaded authorities after allegedly killing three and wounding two more. But the pickups were different makes and colors. And Perdue looks nothing like Dorner: He's several inches shorter and about a hundred pounds lighter. And Perdue is white; Dorner is black.
"I don't want to use the word buffoonery but it really is unbridled police lawlessness," said Robert Sheahen, Perdue's attorney. "These people need training and they need restraint."
The incident involving Perdue was the second time police looking for the fugitive former LAPD officer opened fire on someone else. The shootings have raised concerns that the fear Dorner has instilled has added another layer of danger.
Seriously. This is scary. I realize that the man is a danger to police...I realize that he is a dangerous individual. That he has a mission, and has killed or wounded several people, all police officers or related to the police department.
But is there any excuse for this behavior? Any excuse for endangering the lives of the citizens that the police are sworn to "serve and protect?
Rule one: "Know your target and what is beyond it".....Fail.
If you, or I, or any group of gun people were to handle their firearms in such an unsafe manner, we'd be disarmed, jailed, and punished.... and rightfully so. Are the cops disarmed? Jailed?
Chris Dorner must have them TERRIFIED. Scared shitless. Absolutely quaking in theirjackboots.
But their behavior is inexcusable. Period. Shooting at a white guy because he is in a pickup of a different make and model when they are looking for a black guy in another pickup of a different type is just plain crazy. Apparently, the cops are a greater danger to the public than the fugitive they are seeking.
These incidents show, however, the mentality that the police in larger cities have. THey really aren't worried about the safety of anyone but their own.
And that should frighten and anger you.
Plan accordigly.

Yeah,....What she said
The lovely Ms. X points out that the media hides the fact that some of our whacko spree killers are not so terribly conservative after all, and some are, actually, really left wing supporters.
A bit of research will show that this IS TRUE. Additionally, the media goes to great lengths to hide the fact that they too have their share of violent psychotic killers. (In fact, were we to bother to accumulate statistics, I believe that they would have a significantly higher percentage of such people).
But the media and the left (but I repeat myself) go to great lengths to conflate spree killers of any kind woith conservatives and (specially) the Tea Party.
Sadly, many people believe whatever the "Nightly Newz" tells them, never questioning, and therefore forms an opinion without any (actual) knowledge with which to do so.

YEP
Rob Allen has it NAILED
"One ex-cop has the nation’s largest police force shitting their britches.
Imagine what would happen if there was gun confiscation and just a few thousand gun owners pulled something similar."
How many people (innocent bystanders, I mean) would the cops kill in their quest to remove firearms from people like you and I?
I am likely the LEAST dangerous of the people I hang with. And you really don't want to come trying to take my guns. My friends? Dude, it'll be ugly.
Only the police should have guns
Because theya re the "Only Ones" with the proper training.
Right.
Tell that to these women:
Two women who were shot by Los Angeles police in Torrance early Thursday during a massive manhunt for an ex-LAPD officer were delivering newspapers, sources said.
The women, shot in the 19500 block of Redbeam Avenue, were taken to area hospitals, Torrance police Lt. Devin Chase said. They were not identified. One was shot in the hand and the other in the back, according to Jesse Escochea, who captured video of the victims being treated.
If this were you, or me, or any other concealed carry permit owner, the hue and cry would be loud, hysterical, and strident. The calls for repeal of CCL permits would be growing.
And you and I would be in jail.
But not so the Police.
Why is that?
Right.

Re: Postal type office stuff
It occurs to me that if the Post Office didn't give such deep discounts to the Junk Mail senders, but rather forced them to pay closer to (like circa 70% of) the cost that the rest of us do, then we'd not have the issues either.
Of course, if they decreased Junk Mail, then I'd have issues keeping my woodstove fed, as USPS delivered junk mail paper is about 25% of our heat source for the year.
Of course, if they decreased Junk Mail, then I'd have issues keeping my woodstove fed, as USPS delivered junk mail paper is about 25% of our heat source for the year.
How much will they cut the labor costs?
Since the U.S. Post Office is gonna cut approximately 17 % of it's service, are we gonna see a 17% reduction in labor costs? Are all those folks gonna get their Benefits cut by 17% too?
I mean, I am getting only 5/6 of what I was getting last week. Since the service is less, shouldn't those people who work (and get paid a LOT for what is, essentially, what would be classified as an unskilled job) get a reduction to 5/6 of their retirement and 5/6 of their insurance benefits too?
Look: somehow the USPS cannot stop hemorrhaging money. It may well be the failure of management, or it may be the workers, or a combination of both. I really don't care. If they can't figure out how to do it at a reasonable cost and make it at least break even, then perhaps the lot of them, managers and workers, should be tossed and people found who CAN work in a productive manner. I have never seen a postal worker with any sense of hustle. Never seen one run (unless being chased by a large dog) never seen one appear to be hurrying. Ever.
But seriously, since the consumer (that BTW, is you and me and every other resident, business etc in the US) is getting 17% less service, then are the workers and management getting 5/6 of the pay and benefits? I mean, starting at the Postmaster General and working down.
Bet not.
If not, then WHY NOT?

Punishing the rest of the gun owners because of what some left leaning psychotropic drug taking criminal does....
Just like the freedom of speech, the right to bear arms has always been subject to reasonable restrictions by Congress. I believe Congress has a responsibility to balance the right-to-bear-arms with the concern for public safety and stability.
“I believe in tolerance and unity and that every man and woman should be treated as equals. However, since the number of crimes committed by blacks are higher than any other race, I believe Congress has a responsibility to balance the rights of African Americans with the concern for public safety”.
One is as logical as the other.
(BB) Gun in one hand, child in the other
This, apparently, can get you arrested.
Not sure exactly how they got child endangerment out of this. (We can't see the picture, so we don't know where the gun was pointed) and some of those BB guns can appear to be real.
Having said that....Seriously? Arrested for child endangerment because he was holding (what appeared to be) a firearm near a child?
Has our society gone that far down the rathole?
Updated:
Here is the picture. I see no endangerment at all, even if it had been a "real" pistol.
Thanks to ALEX for the help with the picture

So the other day, I watched a police officer working as a security guard park his police car carefully in a "Fire Zone, No Parking" area. When I questioned him on it, he got downright pissy.
"I am a cop!"
"What the fuck gives you the right to question me?"
"How about I check you out?"
I wasn't much intimidated, as I have no record, had nothing illegal on me, and wasn't doing anything wrong, so he eventually let it go...As I walked away.
But really, the attitude was, at the least, extremely disturbing. He was, in his mind, somehow better than the rest of the population. Because of his badge, he was somehow excused from obeying laws that the rest of the populace is expected to. The thought that he was, in his own mind, privileged, was scary. Almost as if he were royalty, not a citizen like the rest of us, subject to the same laws, petty or not, that exist in society. As if he were not a citizen like the rest of us.
And yes, I did it to see what his reaction would be.
Yes, this has been going on for much longer than I have been alive. But not to the degree it currently is, and not so openly. Nor with the attitude.
How long are these folks gonna make it, if and when, with an attitude like that, when there are so many like us, who won't put up with it?

No charges filed, but give 'em time, they'll find something to justify it.
On Wednesday, the Department of Homeland Security, along with a SWAT team and Bernalillo County sheriff’s deputies raided the home of Robert Adams in Albuquerque, New Mexico and, according to a federal search warrant affidavit the raid seized nearly 1,500 firearms from the man’s home and business. However, no charges have been filed against him, despite the fact that court documents reveal that agents had been watching Adams for years.
You'd think that they would have had some reason, and would have been able to press charges before the raid. Something to justify it.

Yeah, when Obama said he wasn't coming for your gun collection, he was lying.
Hunters, sportsmen, and target shooters, you are on a list too. Just wait.
Are you ready? I am. Of course, compared to Mr. Adams, I am small potatoes.
Too bad they won't go after the GunWalker/Fast and Furious principals the same way
But bombs are OK.....
When used properly...
Or something like that.
Mrs. Ayres. (The former domestic terrorist/bomber and good friend of Barry Soreto, (who should be in jail )the terrorist, not the wimpy president)). The former Bernardine Dohrn, now Mrs. Bill Ayres. She wants (of course)for your firearms to be taken away.
Ms Ayres felt that bombing was a legitimate form of protest against the US government. And that revolution was an acceptable way to change things. Yet she would remove your choice of weapon to do the same, now that HER people are in government.
The hypocrisy of these people never ceases to amaze me.

Fuckin' A Baby!
Watch THIS.
THese guys are PISSED.
And they aren't gonna go down easily. Many of them are gonna seriously say "Fuck YOU" to the authorities.
Were I Cuomo, I'd be worried.
Very worried.

An observation:
30 rounds was bad......
Has been, in the minds of the Feinstein-ites, for many years.
10 rounds though, was ok. 10 rounds was good. 10 rounds was blessed by the Feinstein-ites.
But that was then.
Now, of course, the new limit is 7 rounds. (Because, you know, no one needs 10 round magazines to go hunting....or something like that)
So if 10 rounds was the new 30, and 7 is the new 10, will 5 (or 3) become the new 7?
I mean, really who needs 7 rounds to go duck hunting. Or 3 rounds for deer?
You will, however, still need more than 10 for the blue helmets.
Just sayin'

Hold this thought dearly:
"It's better to die upon your feet than to live upon your knees."
- Emiliano Zapata
Again: Decide. Before the decision is made for you.
Choose wisely.
A chance thrown away may never come again.
