Spent about half a day teaching someone the basics of reloading...He loaded 200 rounds of 9mm on the Dillon 550....and then we spent another hour or so at the range turning those same rounds into smoke, noise and holes in paper.
Man, that felt GOOD!
I expect that he will begin reloading as soon as he decides on a press, and that will significantly up his round count shortly thereafter.
We found that his GLOCK was happy with 4.0 grains of 231 pushing a 115g JHP. (light loads, but they worked well for the range) Next time I think we'll up it to 4.2 grains because he had 2 FTLB.
It's hard to beat a few hours making your own ammo and then burning it up.
