That stuff like milk, pop, beer, snack foods and, in one place, gasoline are in short supply in the greater Carbondale area....This despite the merchants slightly raising prices, stocking more, and arranging for extra deliveries of such items in advance in expectation of thousands of people arriving this weekend for the eclipse.
Apparently some folks are terribly upset that the merchants, private business all, failed to properly prepare for the event and have made their displeasure known, loudly.
Not everyone gets it.
If I still had stocks of milk and groceries and ice and beer and pop, I'd triple the prices for anyone who doesn't live in the community.

What, you mean they aren't 'catering' to the people??? How gauche! :-)
