I'd never, of course, make a working copy....class 3 weapons and all that.
But if I made one and never fixed the firing pin, or even made a recess for the firing pin, then it wouldn't be illegal, right? Non working copy and all that.....
I actually think that full auto firearms like this are a waste of ammo for most people (me included)... YMMV

Aussie gang in New South Wales was convicted of building these in their garages in 2007 if I remember right... They had 20 something of them...

By all accounts I have seen they work , as does the Luty pattern smg which is what has been seen most in NSW iirc .
