Tired

Spent a large portion of the day heating and straightening some large bits of iron the old fashioned way. Charcoal, air, anvil and hammer.  Over and over and over and over and over.

Man, I forgot how much work that can be.

I hope I can make a fist Sunday morning. I'm supposed to go shooting if the weather holds.

Yep, real work is NOT a lot of fun, shoot em good!

I've never heard of someone doing a chore like that. Are you a blacksmithing hobbyist or something?

I bent my log tongs to hell and gone by overestimating the weight they would pick up/underestimating the weight of the log....plus the twist that they would acquire when everything broke loose. Think demon inspired pretzel.

And while I had the fire, I bent and flattened some stuff for another project.

Easier to heat the large bits with charcoal and air than to try and find a large enough torch to heat with.

Besides, the exercise is good for you....right?
