this guy

Says we got issues with COOLING.

Jesus. I don't know what to think.

Cycle 25 is an interesting argument. The Sun is the most continously observed star by humans. We have sunspot counts back to the 1700s and they seem to follow a fairly well recorded cycle of heating and cooling. Here is the orginal article he was quoting:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2093264/Forget-global-warming--Cycle-25-need-worry-NASA-scientists-right-Thames-freezing-again.html

Note that these are the same guys that supplied the info for the IPCC just before "Climategate". We may well be entering a "quiet time". Picture a lightbulb in an ice chest. Turn down the juice to the bulb - the temps cool. Turn up the juice to the bulb - the temps get warmer. Sun = lightbulb. Earth = cooler.

Another interesting piece of info is contained in this article:

http://reason.com/blog/2011/12/16/thirty-three-temperature-update-well-bel

No measurable change in earth's temperature for the past 33 years.

Final issue for me (confession - I am a geek's geek), I downloaded the 60MB of info released by the Russian hackers (probably) prior to the IPCC meeting in Denmark and looked at the code they stole. The "hockey stick" was simply fabricated because the researchers "expected" temps to increase.

Gotta say, IMNSHO, with 40+ years of engineering behind me, lots of lab time, yadda, yadda, yadda - if the hard data from the last 15-33 years can't confirm the projections made for that period of time, the science is simply faulty.

Not that I have any strong opinions on this topic .. . . :)

+1 on Bill's post... "My" scientist says the same thing, and she has 30 years of studying it...

There is always going to be some kind of climate crisis that can only be addressed by more Governmental control. Soon we will be hearing again about over-population, and then famine scares. In about a decade it will be time for Global warming hysteria again.
