Seriously. Read this. Think about the lessons he brings up. THINK about what could/would will happen if it is an emergency other than a few inches of snow.....Pay particular attention to his observation of peoples behavior.
Have a plan.... have a good plan and the means to execute it. Be better than the rest. Be able to improvise and react, and don't be afraid to break the law (if you can do so safely). Having the right mindset might just make or break you in a real emergency.
