I almost missed the birth of one of my kids. I was at sea in the Coast Guard. We pulled in after three months out, and found out my wife was in labor, and already at the hospital. Dad might be a deadbeat welfare bum... He also may be deployed military... Give Mom the benefit of the doubt...
