How to win the next presidential election:

Emulate Vladimir Putin:

"In Russia live Russians. Any minority, from anywhere, if it wants to live in Russia, to work and eat in Russia, should speak Russian, and should respect the Russian laws. If they prefer Shari'ya Law, then we advise them to go to those places where that's the state law. Russia does not need minorities. Minorities need Russia, and we will not grant them special privileges, or try to change our laws to fit their desires, no matter how loud they yell 'discrimination'. We better learn from the suicides of America, England, Holland and France, if we are to survive as a nation. The Russian customs and traditions are not compatible with the lack of culture or the primitive ways of most minorities. When this honorable legislative body thinks of creating new laws, it should have in mind the national interest first, observing that the minorities are not Russians." -- Vladimir Putin, the Russian president, addressing the Duma February 4th, 2013. The politicians in the Duma gave Putin a standing ovation for 5+ minutes!

If any politician had the balls to say something similar here in the US, they'd likely receive a standing ovation as well....and likely get elected.

Bet it'd get you elected here in the US as well.

  1. Oh, how I wish our Canadian leaders would say the same thing. The hell with multiculturalism and all its pitfalls!

  2. A comment like that here in the USA would set off the most incredible screeching, wailing, gnashing of teeth and wringing of hands you ever experienced from every nook, corner, and cranny of the media, academia, and every other bastion of the left.

The cacophony would be deafening. There'd be no end of shrieking about racism, xenophobia, jingoism and every other charge they could conjure.

A few in our congress might stand and applaud but not the majority.

As Putin mentioned (I presume this has been fact checked in some way), the US and other western nations are in full suicide mode.

  4. Poor Putin. His instincts are to be contrary to the US. We are embracing communism and multiculturalism here, so Putin, like so many Russians before him, must take the opposite side. The Russian nation is benefiting, but I'm betting Vlad is as confused as I am jealous.

You are right - the candidate who says this in 2016 will win. I'll even vote twice!

  5. Interestingly, this sentiment is starting to spread in much of the rest of the western world. I think the PM of Australia said this not too long ago.

There is a nationalist/anti EU movement starting to gather steam in Europe. Of course in Europe all too often that sort of thing takes a violent turn. I think that might happen as push back against Islamist incursion into European culture.

It's going to be ugly before it's all over.
