Yeah, everyone calls it the "Fourth of July>
And they forget it is really "Independence Day"...the day we celebrate the signing of the Declaration of Independence....the birth of our nation.....the day the colonists stuck their finger into the eye of the King and told him he was no longer their Sovereign ...
(Just as an aside, We really should celebrate on the Second, not the Fourth....but that is the day the document is dated....even if it was SIGNED on the Second. ....)
