Ain't no Gass ....How you gonna get to work, man?

Lots of folks have no backup and are wondering if they will be getting to work tomorrow and through the week...

And this is just ONE pipeline. A big one, and it carries gasoline exclusively, but still. Lots of folks being affected by ONE pipeline.

How much do you stock for happenings like this?

I have enough to last us 3 weeks plus or minus. At normal rates of consumption. Plus the truck...diesel there and I have about 6 weeks or so with that vehicle. And those are without any conservation efforts.

Think about it.

  1. Indeed; where I live, an earthquake can occur any time of the day or night, and disrupt deliveries of EVERYTHING. No one seems to care. They just go about their days, living from hand to mouth. And when those mouths aren't full of McDonald's, they're ridiculing people like us... who see the dangers for what they are... and and simply prepare for them!

  2. Yep, prepping is NOT stupid, as some folks are now learning...

  3. The resulting "shortage" is all BS. The pipeline feeds the Doraville fuel farm which keeps a 3 to 4 week supply of fuel on hand. There were real shortages but the shortages were caused by the hyper-demand that happened. The supply trucks were unable to keep up with the hyper-demand creating the "shortage".
