If it breaks, than you can buy an impact and a regular socket, but the crowds and fuss will be the same for buying two sockets as it is for one.<br /><br />I use regular sockets on an impact wrench quite often, because I'm too lazy to get up and go to the tool box when a regular socket in the right size is laying right next to me.
